Thank you so much for being such an incredible host and really showing us a terrific time. It was a fantastic trip and we really enjoyed ourselves. I thought the race was very well done and I hope to come back in the near future.
Mike Wardian, USA (multiple US champion and World 50km silver medallist)

We went over at the invitation of the new Galway City Marathon to get a feel for the hospitality that runners can expect when they run the marathon in this lively West Coast of Ireland town. The Marathon and Half Marathon were great, and I can say the hospitality lived up to all that was promised - it is truly a city that likes to party. We'll be representing the Galway Marathon next year so watch our website for details of next year’s run and mark your diary.
Mike Grattan – 209 Events (former London Marathon winner)

Greatest thanks for all you did! It was a really beautiful event and we were very happy for a chance to take part in it. You did a lot for us and you are always welcome to Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine) with your entire family!

Michele Villaruel, Galway

Thanks for all the work you and the rest of the race staff did for the IAU 50k and Galway City Marathon. The organisation was incredible, especially for a first time event. Even though I could only make it a 3 day trip, I had a great time.
Ben Nephew, USA (international athlete)

I just wanted to say a huge congrats for the weekend's events. It was really good fun and very professionally organised. We had a great weekend.
Jen Salter, UK (international athlete - 3rd in 2010 Marathon des Sables)

Thank you very much for organising a great race and day out. I adored the course. For me the highlight was the section through Renmore. Living west of the Corrib it's not a part of the city I get to see that much.
Peter Duggan, Galway
